Bluewood undertook a project to transform an 8,000 sq ft Grade 2 listed building and was a great project to be involved in. Pilgrim House was dilapidated and in need of much attention to ensure the space was fit to be the new HQ facility for Southampton Cargo Handling.
The property, which was constructed in the mid 1800’s was originally used as a Port office however more recently it was a Chinese restaurant, so it was nice to see a business with a nautical link to move into the property. The project involved working collaboratively with our clients and the conservation consultant to create a space that would become an efficient and impressive working environment as well as respecting the beautiful architectural features and structures of the Grade 2 listing. The project involved new ceilings, lath and plaster walls, new electrical and structural cabling installation, air-conditioning, decorations W/C’s, flooring.
