We were appointed by a long-term client, 8 Wealth Management, to manage the complex dilapidations of their multi-level office space following a 15-year tenancy. As our largest dilapidations project to date, the goal was to return the space to its original “as-was” condition and achieve a Cat A fit-out within a strict 10-week window.
The project was a resounding success, delivered both on time and significantly under budget. By expertly managing the works, we secured a £100,000 saving for the client compared to the landlord’s original settlement offer.
Project managed by Cornerstone Building Surveyors, the comprehensive strip-out and refurbishment included:
Sustainable Clearance: Full removal of furniture, with usable items donated to local schools.
Structural Strip-Out: Removal of cellular office partitioning, feature ceilings, and all floor coverings.
Modernisation: Installation of new suspended ceilings, lighting, AC systems, and decorative finishes.
Infrastructure: Full M&E adjustments, including a new small power supply tailored for a modern, open-plan layout.
